The Purpose of Speak Out on Stigma
The purpose of Speak Out on Stigma is to engage members of the Wisconsin community around the topic of stigma related to substance use disorders, addiction, and recovery (cutting across counties/regions, sectors, roles, experiences). It’s to raise awareness about stigma and its impact across the state of Wisconsin with the goal of eliminating stigma to support the health and wellbeing of community members in and seeking recovery from a substance use disorder. And, it’s to create unity around efforts to raise awareness about and eliminate stigma.

Speak Out on Stigma is a platform for community members to share their views and experiences related to stigma around substance use disorders and recovery. Anyone 18 or older can participate: people in recovery, affected loved ones, allies, advocates, organizations, and beyond.
