Wisconsin Voices for Recovery would like to recognize Hadeel Hasan for her contribution to our statewide Advisory Council and her leadership!
Hadeel Hasan is currently the Victim Services -Juvenile Focused Social Worker at Project Respect, a Dane County-based social service agency that provides case management, counseling, crisis intervention, advocacy, alternative to incarceration, and peer support group services to persons with histories of prostitution and sex trafficking. She is also a Therapist and Program Manager of the College Programs at Connections Counseling, LLC. Hadeel holds a CAPSW, SAC-IT in Wisconsin, and an MSW from UW-Madison. Hadeel serves on the Wisconsin Voices for Recovery Advisory Council representing the southern region. As a member of this council, Hadeel works towards eliminating the stigma attached to being in recovery from a substance use disorder through community outreach and education/trainings. Hadeel is the founder of ‘Your Thoughts,’ a group based program centralized to aid and strengthen individual critical and analytical skills targeting at-risk youth on Chicago’s Southside and in the Dane County Juvenile Detention Center. Hadeel also aided in the development and facilitated Project Respect’s microenterprise group focused on economic empowerment for women learning to develop their own small business. Hadeel is dedicated to clinically serve a diverse population of at-risk youth and adults suffering from mental health disorders and substance use disorders using CBT, DBT, trauma informed care, psychoeducational groups, motivational interviewing, and a client-centered approach.
Hadeel brings compassion, dedication, and expertise to the Wisconsin Voices for Recovery Advisory Council. Thanks, Hadeel, for your positive example and leadership!
