International Overdose Awareness Day
August 31 @ 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm CDT
An evening of connection, community, and remembrance to honor the lives of those lost to overdose and support those impacted.
Join Safe Communities at Olbrich Park, directly across from Olbrich Botanical Gardens, from 5-7pm for a resource fair, free pizza, Kona Ice, memorial sign making, family-friendly activities, and more. Then stay from 7-7:30 pm for a community program featuring passionate advocates, followed by an opportunity for attendees to share a few words in honor of their loved ones. A free healing circle will be offered before the event at 4pm, anyone is welcome to join!
