Members of Wisconsin Voices for Recovery and Student Voices for Recovery just launched the Beads for Needs campaign at Nicolet College in Rhinelander.
In celebration of Mardi Gras, students organized a volunteer drive to collect needed goods for a local treatment center. Things that were collected included journals, bath products, and other personal items. In exchange for these donations, which were accepted at booths set up throughout the campus, students received beads!
Sometime people entering and leaving treatment need assistance with these types of basic goods. Wisconsin Voices for Recovery members were “a voice” in their community by providing a tangible services and meeting a need. A big thanks for their efforts!
