Every year in September, hundreds of people gather at the State Capitol to celebrate Recovery Month at the Wisconsin Voices for Recovery Rally for Recovery. This year, we will be hosting our 5th Annual event that celebrates the joys of recovery, honors those we have lost to addiction and their family members, and educates the public about the realities of addiction as a medical condition. Mark your calendars for Saturday September 22nd from 11:00am-2:00pm at the State Capitol in Madison.
This year’s event them is Community Resilience: Recovering Together because we know that it is only when we join together and support each other as a community that change can happen. Change on the personal level thru hope and transformation and change on the community level, making our families healthier, safer, and stronger.
Joseph Green, a motivational speaker, poet and change-agent, will be our featured speaker and share with us his moving spoken word and a message of hope and healing. We will also hear from people in recovery across the state of Wisconsin and family members who have been impacted by addiction and recovery.
