Project Summary:

Wisconsin Voices for Recovery (WVR) oversees the ED2Recovery+ program through regrant awards to organizations who offer peer support services by recovery coaches or certified peer specialists. These services are currently occurring in several hospital sites statewide offering referrals, support, and follow up for treatment and recovery to individuals that have experienced an opioid overdose. This statewide peer support network is supported by a portion of the State Opioid Response.
The purpose of this program is to unite treatment systems to promote peer support services that will:

1

Decrease the number of overdose fatalities in Wisconsin

2

Increase treatment and recovery support service utilization of the target population

3

Reduce Emergency Department admissions due to overdoses

4

Provide peer support services to support people pursuing recovery

5

Be a sustainable and collaborative peer support network
