She specializes in women’s services\, body image\, and adolescent treatment. \nMelissa Nelson\, PhD\, LPC\, NCC\, is a counselor educator who directs the clinical services for the Brown Deer campus of Rogers Behavioral Health. Dr. Nelson specializes in dialectical behavior therapy and cognitive behavioral therapies for individuals with chronic emotional and behavioral dysregulation. Within her current role\, Dr. Nelson is engaged in program development\, process improvement\, and clinical supervision for adult and child/adolescent inpatient programs. Prior to this\, Dr. Nelson has worked within partial\, intensive outpatient\, and outpatient levels of care providing DBT and CBT treatment to individuals with complex presenting concerns to include mood\, trauma-related\, and co-occurring disorders.
